B. Dale Henderson, CRPC®, CFS®

Dale has earned his reputation by finding practical solutions to help meet his clients’ financial challenges. His diverse business and educational background, coupled with the support of an outstanding technical staff, enables him to advise individuals and business owner clients in areas including retirement income planning, wealth accumulation, asset protection including life and disability income coverage, long term care planning, employee benefits and legacy planning.

B. Dale Henderson has been a financial advisor and wealth manager for more than 30 years and prior to joining First Financial Group of the South; he was in management with a privately-held corporation in Birmingham. Dale graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in communication with a minor in religion. Dale and his wife Deb live in Dale's hometown of Auburn, AL and are members of Parkway Baptist Church. They enjoy Auburn football, traveling and playing with their three grandkids.

Dale attained the Certified Fund Specialist® designation in 1995 and, in September of 2007, earned his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation. He serves his clients in 13 states across the nation.

Angie Harper

Practice Manager & Client Services

Angie Harper joined First Financial Group of the South in January of 2018 in the role of Practice Manager & Client Services. Angie & her husband Charlie moved to Auburn in 2016 from Tallassee, Alabama. Angie has worked in the banking industry for 33 years, most recently 15 years with PrimeSouth Bank in Tallassee with her focus on compliance and operations. They have two children, Candace married to Shane Scroggins lives in Tallassee and Carmen married to Chris Lowry lives in Phenix City. Angie and her husband, Charlie are members of Parkway Baptist Church. Angie enjoys spending time with family & friends, cooking, gardening and family ancestry research.

Jennie Henderson

Planner Assistant

Jennie Henderson joined FFG in August of 2009. She graduated from Auburn University in 2008 with a degree in English. Jennie enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeremy, and children, Sadie, Phoebe, and Quinn.

Chris Diuguid

Business Operations Manager

Chris Diuguid began her career with First Financial Group of the South in 1985 as the receptionist. In 1987, she transitioned to the Planning Department as the word processor, in addition to working closely with Rob Studin. Chris passed her Series 7 exam in August 2011 and her Series 24 exam in October 2011 and is now the Business Operations Manager for the Birmingham office.

Chris, her husband, Mike, and their son, Ian, live in Trussville, Alabama. They share their home with Bella, their 9 year old Miniature Pinscher, who really runs the show.

Seth B. Wolnek, JD*, CFP®, CRPC

Practice Advisor

Seth has been a member of First Financial Group of the South since 1997 with a personal financial planning practice focused on individuals and small business owners who are committed to improving their financial lives.

Seth earned his CFP® in 2001 and his CRPC in 2008. Prior to joining the firm, Seth practiced law primarily in the Washington, D.C. area, working with the law firm of Morrison & Foerster. He also served as a Legislative fellow with US Senator Frank Lautenberg. Seth received a Bachelors of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from The American University in Washington, D.C. and his Juris Doctor (JD) from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in Huntington, NY. Seth is admitted to the bar in Maryland and Alabama.

Seth is married to Michelle Bearman-Wolnek, a Birmingham, AL native and they have two children, Meyer(12) and Raquel(10). In additional to his professional endeavors, Seth is actively involved with local community/charitable organizations. He is an active member of The Estate Planning Council of Birmingham and The Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham’s Professional Advisory Committee. Seth currently serves on the Executive Committee of the NE Miles Jewish Day School, is the Investment Committee Chair of the Birmingham Jewish Foundation and is a Past-President of Temple Beth-El, Birmingham, AL.

D. Wiley Moody

Director of Planning

Wiley Moody joined Lincoln Financial Advisors in May of 2004, where he began his work in the areas of planning and operations. Wiley studied under Tim Johnson, Chief Investment Strategist for Lincoln Financial Advisors, for the past several years and was promoted to Director of Financial Planning in 2009. Currently, Wiley is a member of the Investment Steering Committee, and is one of the forefront individuals involved with Lincoln’s Investment selection and policy.

Wiley services clients all over the United States in the high net worth marketplace, and assists in managing over $200 Million of assets. He is deeply involved in various other committees that help our planners further their knowledge of the industry as a whole, and keep recent on trends and movements in the markets.

Wiley specializes in Investment Planning and Retirement Planning with a focus on asset allocation, fixed income selection, alternative investments, and affluent wealth management. Furthermore, Wiley's position at Lincoln Financial Network entails holistic financial planning involving Retirement, Investment, Estate, Business, College, Survivorship, and Special Needs Planning.

  • Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The College of William and Mary, as well as the FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66. Member of the Northeast Florida Estate Planning Council.

    • B.S. degree (Accounting and Finance) from Central Connecticut State University; J.D. degree from the University of Bridgeport School of Law; M.B.A. (Finance) degree from the University of Connecticut; and LL.M. (Taxation) degree from Boston University School of Law.

    • Areas of expertise: the development, training, and implementation of fee-based financial planning within the firm including the integration of the investment and comprehensive financial planning processes.

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration for The University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University. National speaker/trainer for Lincoln Financial Advisors.


    Chief Investment Strategist

    • Areas of expertise include fixed-income, equity allocations, alternative investments and affluent wealth management.

    • BA in Political Science from Lipscomb University in 1981 and graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Law. Holds a Series 7 registration.


    Director of Planning

  • Primary area of expertise: Broad knowledge of complex estate planning, business succession planning and retirement planning concepts. Frequently hosts a variety of nationally disseminated educational sessions focused on current tax law and planning strategies.

  • Summa cum laude, Master's degree graduate from Southern Methodist University.


    National Design/Advanced Planning Attorney

  • Expertise in the areas of personal and corporate income taxation, as well as estate, gift and trust taxation. Member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations.

  • BA degree in English from State University of New York at Buffalo; J.D. from Western New England College School of Law; LL.M. (Taxation) from Boston University School of Law.

    • Areas of expertise include high net worth estate distribution strategies, senior executive compensation, tax return analysis, and retirement planning.
